Weekly Meal Plan 8.5.18
A new semester is approaching, and it's time to get serious about meal planning again! I'm going to try to start prepping some freezer crock-pot meals at the beginning of the month, so that dinner on long work days is easier. I'm hoping this will help me plan ahead more so that we don't end up grabbing dinner out when we both get home after 6pm. I don't have any scheduled for this week, but expect to see them in coming weeks!
Here's what we're eating for dinner this week:
Sunday: leftovers/dinner after strike
Monday: spaghetti squash parmesan
Tuesday: shakshuka with African lamb from our co-op
Wednesday: Italian sausage rigatoni with spicy cream sauce
Thursday: leftovers
Friday: steak fajitas with sweet potato & poblano
Saturday: date night and dinner out

Weekly Meal Plan 4.15.18
It's been a while since I've done a meal plan post (ok, any post really!) but since I'm working on cleaning up my diet more the detailed planning began again in earnest. And what better place to try to hold myself accountable to a plan than here on the internet, right?
So, here's what we're eating this week:
Sunday: dinner at ModMarket after a day of yardwork
Monday: steak with root vegetable succotash*
Tuesday: sole with chickpeas, squash and pesto*
Wednesday: leftovers
Thursday: panang curry with peppers and rice*
Friday: leftovers
Saturday: dinner at an event
All of the meals with asterisks are from Sun Basket. I've written about Green Chef before, and the two companies are similar. I still get Green Chef sometimes, but since discovering my intolerance to brassica vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, etc) I've found that it's easier to find options I don't have to alter with Sun Basket. Because, especially during tech week, where is the convenience if I have to alter the recipe?

2017 Reading List
It's New Year's Eve again, time to share everything I've read this past year.
Starting in 2015, in addition to logging all the books and plays that I read, I also challenged myself to PopSugar's Reading Challenge. I liked the challenge, so I did it again in 2016, and again this year with the 2017 version.
This year, I also set a goal to read one Shakespeare play each month. These are all included on this list under the "plays" heading. I didn't quite make it, but I'm still pretty pleased!
As always, only books that were finished made the list; anything partially read or unfinished is not listed here.

Happy Passover!
This year my show schedule has worked out better for the holiday than last year, so I won't be in tech rehearsals while keeping kosher for Pesach. I also will have a bit more time at home to do all the cooking and baking prep, which I'm happy about.
So, what will we be eating during Passover?
Sunday: finish off the last of the leftovers
Monday: Seder with friends (I'm bringing 4 dozen veggie kugels)
Tuesday: roasted leg of lamb, charoses, another vegetable
Wednesday: salmon and spinach cheese balls
Thursday: leftovers
Friday: Passover potato quiche and salad
Saturday: Passover cheese blintzes (from the New York Times Jewish Cookbook)
